Fleckvieh-Simmental
With 1.5 million animals, the Fleckvieh has the largest distribution in Austria from the Alpine mountain regions to the lowlands in the east. With appropriate management, milk production is comparable to that of pure dairy breeds, with care being taken to maintain good meat production. Particular emphasis is placed on fitness characteristics, fertility, longevity, calving progress, calf vitality, cell count and persistence as well as conformation and udder characteristics. An excellent dual-purpose breed with high milk and meat production. Easily adapts to difficult keeping and feeding conditions. Second largest dairy breed in the world with a strong growing trend thanks to excellent characteristics.

Angus
Angus cattle mature early, calve easily and have good rearing performance. It is very robust against harsh and difficult weather conditions. Angus cattle are extremely good-natured, peaceful, undemanding and adaptable animals. Genetic polledness and black, red or medium-framed coloring are also typical for these cattle. Angus beef has well-marbled meat and the color of the fat is yellow, typical of the breed. The high slaughter yield makes it particularly popular.
Brown Swiss
A robust dairy breed with dual-purpose character. Main distribution areas: western federal states and central Austria. The high willingness to perform enables the highest milk production with a high proportion of kappa casein B as the basis for economical cheese production. When it comes to fitness characteristics, fertility, calving ease (95% normal births), udder health and good feet and legs stand out. The genetically determined longevity (highest proportion of long-term performance cows) also results from the high proportion of calved young animals.

Holstein
Austrian Holstein cattle are distributed throughout Germany. Holstein Friesian and Red Holstein are high-performance cows. The prerequisites for this are good adaptability, high forage and dry matter intake, stable health, good fertility and a good foundation. The functional, very easy-to-milk udders enable high daily performance and meet the requirements of modern milking technology.

Hereford
These cattle originate from Herefordshire in England and have been bred since the 17th century. The Hereford was originally bred as a working animal before finding use as a beef cattle. The quality of the meat is just as excellent as the mothering qualities of these animals. The attitude is very undemanding, they are well adaptable and climate tolerant.
Jersey
The Jersey cattle are small, delicate, horned cattle with fine bone structure and little muscle. The color ranges from yellow-brown to light red, cream, black and occasionally even piebalds occur. The Flotzmaul is dark and always lined with light. Animals of this breed have a short head with a broad forehead, a saddled forehead line, and large, expressive eyes. It is a one-sided dairy breed characterized by good persistence of milk production. The high proportion of fat and protein is particularly impressive. In addition, these animals are precocious, calving easily and long-lived.
Charolais
This breed of meat has good meat quality, a low tendency to become fatty, as well as a high slaughter yield and excellent meat filling, especially in the valuable cuts. Due to their relatively late maturity, these animals are well suited for fattening to high final weights. This breed is also well suited to cross-breeding.
Tyrolean gray cattle
This pronounced mountain breed produces very good milk production in relation to body weight with little use of concentrated feed. Almost all animals are fed, which contributes significantly to their health. The good meat performance is also worth noting. This breed is used internationally in marginal yield areas and performs well even under difficult production conditions.
